"Acts of terrorism continue to remind us of the very real and direct impact of this scourge on human rights. Terrorism destabilizes Governments, undermines civil society, jeopardizes peace and security, and threatens economic and social development” Peace and solidarity has to be the first act of defense against the rising menace of war and terror.

Each zone within the building has its own spatial identity; their nature varies from complete interior spaces focused on the exhibition, to open spaces with strong visual connections to the social, political and cultural scenarios since ages. The element on site such as green spaces and water bodies become navigation aids trough the public space, guiding the pedestrians trough out.

We aimed to generate a new form of painting as abstraction, featuring SYMBOL OF PEACE with freeze-framed perspectives of urban scenes undergoing super-speed transformation.

Spatial concern is one of the main drivers of this project.  Pavilion is organized around 6 main areas, representing six continents that perform both as structural elements and as spatial enclosures. Interiors become complex spaces, where visitors move  though small in-between spaces that act as filters - or buffer zones.

Due to nature of facet geometry half of the façade is oriented away from Sun and receives limited solar radiation and heat gain while still providing daylight and a view.
